Tahoe City offers plenty of free public parking options within easy walking distance (2–8 minutes) of our beach front rentals and tour location at Commons Beach
Commons Beach
Tahoe City's town beach (Commons Beach) has two parking lots. The address for Commons Beach is 400 North Lake Blvd. From Tahoe City's main street (North Lake Blvd), you will see a green street sign for "Commons Beach Road." This road is a short driveway down to the beach. There is a free public parking lot right on the corner of Commons Beach Road and North Lake Blvd, and there is an additional parking lot right next to the water at the end of Commons Beach Road.

On-Street Parking
There are many free parking spaces along North Lake Blvd, Tahoe City's Main Street. Most of these spaces are less than a 2 minute walk from our rental tent on Commons Beach. These spaces are marked 2-hour parking, although this is rarely enforced during daylight hours when the weather is sunny.

64 Acres / Tahoe Transit Center
Tahoe City's local bus station is about a 7 minute walk from our rentals on Commons Beach. The bus station has ample public parking that extends into multiple lots behind the Transit Center.

Tahoe City Dog Park
Our local dog park, which is on Grove Street behind the Fat Cat Cafe, has a medium sized parking lot that's public and free. This is about a 6 minute walk from our rentals on Commons Beach.

Tahoe Lake Elementary School
When school is not in session (roughly June 15th to August 15th), there is a large parking lot in between Tahoe Lake Elementary School and the Tahoe City Softball Field. This is just off Grove Street, about an 8 minute walk to our rentals on Commons Beach.

Placer County Building Department
Behind the Placer County Building Department there are two public lots. This parking is about an 8 minute walk from our rentals on Commons Beach.
