We just returned back east from a glorious week in Lake Tahoe. The weather was superb with constant blue sky, warm days and cool nights and the prevailing mood was uplifting with the fire contained, the residents cohesive and the Fourth of July fireworks on the lake spectacular. Yet even with the great hiking, fun sailing, terrific dining and frequent drinking, the highlight of our trip was a private kayak tour starting at Sand Harbor with Tim and Molly. The lake was like glass, the sun was warm, the exercise invigorating but the information we learned about Lake Tahoe and the surrounding area and mostly the camaraderie of the instructors was something we will never forget. The memory will bring smiles and laughter to us for a long time.
